After over a decade of shaping careers, OpenSAP will officially close on July 30, 2024. Having recently completed one of the last courses available, Transform Your Business Processes with SAP Signavio and SAP Build, I felt a sense of accomplishment and nostalgia. This course showcased how process automation, supported by tools like SAP Signavio and SAP Build, can transform business operations by boosting efficiency, cutting costs, and improving productivity. I learned how SAP Signavio helps to analyze and optimize processes, while SAP Build empowers users to create and automate applications using a low-code approach.

While OpenSAP is winding down, the learning doesn’t stop. OpenSAP courses have been moved and they are available in self-paced mode - the new SAP Learning platform.

Keeping much of SAP education ahead of the pay wall is certainly a good decision and perhaps we need not fear a return to the exclusivity of SAP competency creation and a slow learning curve. In any case, a change in the way consultants are certified to ensure their continuous education is also a way in the right direction, even if it takes away a large part of the training budget for SAP partners...

Learning.sap.com is already live, offering free access to thousands of learning journeys at all levels, with certificates of completion.

Goodbye OpenSAP, Hello SAP Learning

It’s the end of an era for OpenSAP, but a new chapter for all of us in the world of SAP learning.
